What the project was
A website explaining why 227 tonnes of Belgian gold sit in London and what a citizens’ initiative asks Parliament to do about it. The tone had to be serious and calm, with no party-political colour.
I wrote and structured every page in Dutch and French, worked out the design and built the blog, the downloads and the crowdfunding page.
What it contains
- Open letter to Parliament (manifesto)
- Four concrete demands, each explained on its own page
- Four-phase crowdfunding plan with budget breakdown
- Blog with 9 articles
- Downloads: manifesto, citizen analysis and full dossier
- Contact form, privacy and cookie policy
Design
Gold on near-black, with plenty of space. Short, direct sentences. Typefaces: Urbanist for headings, Inter for text.
